[Back this Campaign]
Worn by Heroes is a community and t-shirt company hoping to launch via a Kickstarter. One of their goals is to get away from plasticy inks that start to crack after a while. I’ve seen this happen on some tees after just one wash.
Worn by Heroes will use American Apparel t-shirts but print in London. They’ll use water based inks. This is all sweatshop free.
The designs from Worn by Heroes are inspired by the big and small screen. This doesn’t mean exclusvely geek but there’s plenty of geeky flavours here.
The campaign is asking for £15,000 and has £8,000 with two weeks still to go. This is certainly achievable, we’ve all seen that amount of money raised in a single day in a popular Kickstarter before, but I suspect Worn by Heroes needs a big push for safety. Here’s the Kicktraq as it stands today.
I think the pledge levels are right. For £5 you get a set of high res wallpapers of all the designs and for £10 you’ll get that plus an A2 poster or a mug of a design of your choice. The early bird t-shirts are all gone but you’ll get a first run, special label, t-shirt pus the wallpapers for £25. I suppose that’s on the expensive side compared to the established online t-shirt powerhouses but Worn by Heroes are trying to do something better with their ink and print.
The limited edition Worn by Heroes logo t-shirt unlocks if you find £35.
