This is the largest ever open-call for amateur game designers and the 7th year of Paizo’s annual RPG Superstar competition.
The competition gives unknown game designers the chance to have the work critiqued by industry veterans and (yikes!) the fan community. This year’s host is Paizo Designer Sean K. Reynolds and the panel includes other Paizo staff along with gaming legend Peter Adkison, Crystal Frasier, Frank Mentzer, Rich Baker, Lee Hammock, Amber Scott, the cartographer Rob Lazzaretti and ENWorld supremo Russ Morrissey.
The winner of the competition gets their adventure published by Paizo as a Pathfinder Module in a full colour, 64-paged, softback. Three runners-up get Pathfinder Society scenario assignments.
Last year there was more than half a million votes cast before Steven Helt’s Tears at Bitter Manor won.
The first round – Open Call: Design a Wondrous Item – is now open and closes 1/1/2014. Not long! You can enter at Paizo.com/RPGSuperstar.
