Third Eye Games have a history of successful RPG Kickstarters. This is their 8th.
AMP: Year One focuses on people who have just discovered their super powers. It’s a game about learning your limits; your power limit and your hard choice limit. Third Eye Games describe it;
AMP: Year One tells the story of the early days (the first year, if you hadn’t already guessed) and how these people survive their new world of danger and wonder. It brings the feeling that these characters aren’t “heroes” or “villains”, but whole people in their own right with powers that could allow them to go in either direction. It becomes each character’s choice what to do with their new abilities.
They describe a darker game with a new mechanic system.
The Kickstarter is racing to the $2,000 pledge total on its first day. It had another 29 days to hit $6,000. It’s a great start but Kickstarter is full of surprises.
The lowest reward tier is $10 and gets you a PDF of the game. That’s a $5 discount on the retail plus access to any PDF adventures that the campaign might unlock. $35 gets you the softcover version of the game.
