This isn’t the 20 second teaser that was released yesterday. The full Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was shown during Jimmy Kimmel Live and comes in at an impressive 2m30s.
Let’s hope it doesn’t follow the rule of “the longer the trailer – the weaker the film”. A quick look at my Facebook feed suggests the trailer is dividing people. Many love it. Looks action packed, funny and perhaps a little different. There are those with concerns, though, as this doesn’t seem to be very similar to (any of) the original Guardian of the Galaxy comic books.
Actually, those who are worried about the trailer and what it suggests the film will be like seem to be the same people who dislike new Doctor Who for not having the same format and approach as Classic Who. Speaking of Doctor Who; this trailer has two clips of Karen Gillan as Nebula.
