You just need to hit up Geek Native’s Short Film collection and you’ll get access to a host of geek friendly sci-fi, fantasy and horror short films. Now and then there’s a short film that comes along that makes me think “Wait… I know that name.”
In this case the film maker, the writer and camera man here is Gareth Edwards. Gareth Edwards who made Monsters and Godzilla.
In Factory Farmed we’re dealing with a future in which people are born on clone farms. This was a competition entry to the 2008 Sci-Fi London 48 Hour Film Challenge. I’ve no idea how the make a film in 48 hours. I think it would take me 48 hours to find a location.
The rule in this challenge was that the film had to feature a clear bottle with red or green liquid and would also have to feature the dialogue; “I am required to carry out this task until completion; your orders do not override anything”. See if you can spot it.
