Geek Native’s featured the music of Erang before as the sort of music suitable for game night. Call it what you want – and Erang uses both “Dungeon Synth” and “Medieval Fantasy” – this is music inspired by The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion and old movies like Conan, the Dark Crystal and even Willow.
Geek Native asked Erang for some insight on the latest album.
After, Tome I , II, III & IV, I’ve started to named my new albums by using names of tracks from my previous album. With this album, I used the name of the last track from Tome IV : “Within The Land Of My Imagination I Am The Only God”.
So, I had this concept of “Freedom of Mind” with me while writing the music.
Imagination is a powerful tool which allows all of us to escape from reality to other realms. This is what I try to do with my music: every track has a real meaning for me and are inspired from things in my real life… but I changed them to fit my Imagination and the own private Kingdom I’ve created. So it’s a whole new world with new perspectives!
