Hugo Award nominated Julie Dillon has turned to Kickstart the first in a series of art books. Dillon’s much admired for her style. In fact, this book promises;
“Imagined Realms” gives me the opportunity to spend more time creating my own illustrations and projects, and also gives me the chance to create more illustrations that feature positive and diverse representations of women.
This campaign will succeed. At the time of writing there are 20 days left on the clock. Julie’s target is $15,00 and she’s raised over $23,000 already.
A PDF copy of the book opens at the first pledge level; $10. If you step up to $20 then you’ll get a bundle of 6×8 prints for each of the 10 illustrations. If you’re quick you could still grab a signed copy of the book for $30.
In an interesting note; all of the artwork in the priect will be available to license as cover art by independent authors and small publishers.
Geek Native ran a fantasy art gallery from Julie Dillon earlier this year. This Kickstarter book is fantasy but the next one will be sci-fi.
