This is a real thing. Electronics LG company have this two minute thirty long video and I watched it all. Now I’m going to share it with you.
Just to recap on the plot. The sun is blocked by horrible grey clouds and the vampires are able to escape from the shadows. Mankind tries to confront the darkness loving horror but is failing.
The turning point is the discovery that LG Chem OLED light panels work against vampires! Hurrah. Not only do LG lights act on vampires but they serve to reverse the curse.
I did a tiny bit of research. OLED is Organic Light EMitting Diode, I figure many geeks know this already, but what I didn’t know was that this puts it closer to sunlight than other types. LG even have a graph over on LG OLED Light.com.
Warning! I do not recommend grabbing an OLED light in any roleplaying or survival horror you may be playing to try and fend off the vampires with it. The science might have some truth in it but I don’t think your game vampires will care.
