There have been iRobot’s Roomba cleaners around for a while. I’ve always wanted one. My tiny Leith flat has wooden mini-steps between each room and the hallway so I’ve never got one. My assumption is that the little Roomba had no chance of making it from room to room. I’ve no space for it anyway.
I’m looking to move. I’ve been looking forward to getting a Roomba. Dyson might just have given me an alternative. Dyson have combined a webcam and a mini-tank in order to produce a robotic vacuum cleaner. Even if I have similar fire door defences and strips of wood between each room the 360 Eye’s little tank tracks can climb over them. The problem here is that there’s neither price nor due date (outside of Japan) for the vacuum cleaner.
