What do you think?
These videos are a little hard to unpick. Sure; we get to see some of the features but it is not always clear what the demo is trying to highlight. It’s clear that Windows 9 has a more desktop like interface than Windows 8 and, wow, a Start button.
The biggest takeaway from the videos so far for me is the addition of multiple desktop support.
This will be fantastic if the system, somehow, supports multiple device desktop support. Imagine being able to click into your mobile phone from your Windows 9.
At the very least it’ll allow gamers to have desktops optimised for gaming and others for working. I could configure one desktop to show Raptor, have shortcuts to Bungie, Wizards, Paizo and others or even have a wiki or virtual desktop open.
