This is a board game in which the controllers of Earth – pizza delivery companies – discover alien life and battle to control the franchise rights.
Pledges for Solar Slice go $1, $2 and then $45. The jump goes from expressing an interest, getting digital assets to re-create your own version of Solar Slice to getting a copy of the game. There are two slots at $1,300 (Ultimate Pizza Party Combo) and many in between.
So, how’s it going? The campaign launched 1 hour ago (at the time of writing) and is sneaking up to the $1,000 mark. That’s from less than 20 backers. Dustin Cosby is asking $20,000 for this project but that’s par for the course for board games.
The basic copy of the rules are already live and available from BoardGameGeek.com. Worth checking out if you’re interested in the higher pledge levels. In fact, there’s already at least one review for the space pizza game from Astral Games in Medford online.
