Nexus Game Studios and Daedalic Entertainment are working on a point & click game inspired by Clerks called Randal’s Monday. They’re calling it a “point & geek” adventure game. It’s due out for both the PC and Mac. Actors from the original movie are now attached to the game to provide voices and guest appearances.
The addition of Jason Mews, aka Jay from Jay & Silent Bob, to the cast mean that both characters will make an appearance in the game. Jeff Anderson is already on board to voice Randal.
The game is expected to be loaded with nostalgia as well as the cynical humour that made Clerks such a hit in the first place. In the original movie Dante Hicks deals with customers in the local Quick Stop while Randal Graves, who should be working in the neighbouring video store, pops in for lengthy and geeky discussions.
Randal’s Day is likely to be suitable bizarre with plenty of nods towards geeky movies from the 80s and 90s.
