Pazio has kicked off a month long open playtest of Occult Adventures. The book is due out in July 2015 but this playtest will be live over this Halloween and that feels appropriate for the spooky supplement.
Occult Adventures will have six new classes for Pathfinder and a new system to support psychic magic. Other occult ideas like seances, aura-reading and rituals will appear in the 256-page hardcover alongside new magic spells, items and ways to add both psychic and occult elements to existing Pathfinder classes.
The book introduces the reality-warping Kineticist, the spirit-infused Medium, the manipulative Mesmerist, the relic-wielding Occultist, the mind-master Psychic, and the phantom-bonded Spiritualist. All six classes are available in the playtest.
The preview playtest can be downloaded from Paizo.
The preview download is 63 pages, with credits and layout but without art. Jason Bulmahn is named as lead designer.
Pathfinder players taking part in the preview test will be able to feed back via forums on the site. Paizo says input and ideas from players will influence the final book.
