Player Piano is responsible for one of my favourite YouTube creations of the year. They covered the Akira theme so well. Now they’ve given us a Tetris cover and asked for Indiegogo support.

[Back this Campaign]
This is a flexible funding so Player Piano don’t need to hit their target of $60,000 to cash in. At the time of writing there are 35 days on the clock, nearly $6,500 in the bank and I’m about to donate.
You get a Twitter shoutout for $5 (great marketing for your blog; right there), $10 gets you Akira, Ghost Waltz and Tetris MP3s and then it gets a little tricky. Player Piano start to offer sweepstakes but you need to be in the US to enter. Jump to the end, pledge $12,000 and Sonya and Tom will visit for a special peformance.
Sonya Belousova is the Russian composer and pianist we see in the videos. My hunch, and I hope I’m right, she leans geekwards. Tom Grey is the director.
To support the Kickstarter they’ve released Tetris. This third video from the team comes in second in my rankings; above Ghost Waltz in equal measure to it coming below Akira.
