A very British reaction to a prank.
This viral stunt was filmed to support the launch of The Librarians on Syfy UK. The new series, which is a spin-off from the movie franchise, started on the 8th of December.
It took 12 special effects experts and an undercover team to complete the stunt. Those are real flaming arrows. It isn’t clear whether any of the three real life librarians who had their first day become a knight to remember kept their job afterwards.
Nicky Douglas, Managing Director, UK, Universal Networks International, said:
We wanted to bring the magic and action of our new show The Librarians to a quiet, ordinary Public Library in South London. We set up three unsuspecting library assistants who found themselves enthralled in a medieval battle between two knights. We certainly gave them a first day to remember!
