You may have seen “What she says, what she means” translation tables being shared on the web.
“I’m fine” means “I’m not fine”, you know the ones.
We get the joke. People are complex, women are people, and therefore women are complex. Let’s try and avoid the sexism and see if we can do a gamer version.
What she says… | What she means… |
---|---|
I’ll be ready in a minute | Just looking for a save point |
How do I look? | Is this armor any good? |
I’m not mad | We could have won that encounter |
Sure… go ahead | That ogre is 10 levels higher than you |
Put that down | Now is not the time for grenades |
Where have you been? | This two-player game won’t complete itself you know |
Do you think she’s nice? | Settlers of Catan would be better with one more player |
What are you doing on Saturday? | My Pathfinder campaign could do with one more player |
Are you wearing that? | Did you botch your ‘getting dressed’ skill check? |
No | No |
Yes | Yes |
