Popular geek author R.A. Salvatore has returned to Kickstarter to extend his DemonWars RPG. In a slight plot twist a common piece of feedback from fans was they liked the core rules but had no one to play with. As a result DemonWars: Allheart has solo-play options. This is an ambitious project for a RPG supplement and is asking for $50,000. At the time of writing there’s still some distance to go but R.A. Salvatore has plenty of fans for a surge in backing. As an example of his clout he has both Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day as narrators in the latet DemonWars audiobook. You can listen to a clip from that on Geek Native.
There’s now an all-new original novella set in the DemonWars world to help promote the project. You’ll get your hands on that for $5. If you step up to $25 then you’ll get a digital copy of the complete game book, with new art, game rules, monters and items. If you want a hardcover of the game book you need to step up to $45 but it’ll be signed by the authors.
The Allhearts are the knights of the Kingdom of Honce-the-Bear. The character class sits alongside the Abellican Monk and Rogue classes from DemonWars: Reformation.
