Tim Obermueller is asking for just $1,000 to fund Task Force H.A.T. (Heroes Against Tyranny) an action RPG that turns puns into points. More details available at the Campaign page.
Tim is more than halfway to funding with more than 20 days left. This is a good sign.
The game is based on action movies and to a degree the heroes are protected by the power of “the plot”. This is the mysterious force that keeps our favourite heroes from being shot and killed early on. The Plot, though, has demands that it places on each hero; they must kick butt, take names and do it in style.
Action Points are gained in a few ways; including making puns when taking down ‘Big Bads’. Obermueller gives us some examples;
Enemy has been crushed by a piano dropped on them. “Someone get a tuning fork, he seems a bit flat.” Enemy is electrocuted by a dropped power line. “What a shocking development.
A PDF version of Task Force H.A.T. is yours with a $10 backing. If you’re swift enough you’ll grab a paperback copy of the game for a $15 pledge.
