How many gaming miniature companies from Ireland can you name? I have to wonder whether Miniature13 is the only one. There’s a short, 17 day, Kickstarter than launched Friday 13th. It’s more than x2 funded already. For more details check out the campaign page.
Miniature13 gave themselves only 17 days to raise €3,000. Risky. It’s worked though as at the time of writing there’s nearly €7,000 in the pot. Damien Lyne’s gamble paid off.
The original Kickstarter campaign had only two minis; Rayne and Overseer but the Scarecrow model has been unlocked and at €8,000 both Lucius and Adira unlock. I must admit I’m a little unsure whether you get minis at €15 or not. I think you do. The pledge says; “You can choose any combination of the miniatures that are available/unlocked, except the exclusive miniature.” Really? I’ll have them all please. Except the €30 pledge level gets you both Rayne and The Overseer, nothing else.
Either way – the matter seems a bit academic since Miniature13’s sci-fi concepts and quality sculpting are encouraging backers to go much higher. The limited €125 pledge level is sold out already and the €85 early bird is selling out. If you think you see a winner of a company here then 2 backers can offer up €1,500 and get one of each new miniature and product release from the company forever.
