In Their Own Worlds: Authors venture inside their books

This is a clever photography Kickstarter which is designed to take a group of authors and bring them into the worlds they created. The project has already funded twice money spare and you can read more about it at the campaign page.

The authors are from a number of different genres; including romance, sci-fi, fantasy and young adult. Names include Ursula Vernon, P.J. Schyder, Mur Lafferty, Ellen Kushner, Nika Harper, Jared Axelrod, Chuck Wendig, Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine.

A pledge of $10 is enough to unlock desktop wallpapers from the photoshoot. If you’re very quick you can scoop up one of the remaining (limited to 500) official photos as 8×10 prints. That’ll set you back $45 and the larger $75 pledge level has already sold out.

One backer has paid $1000 to be a model for the book. I think that speaks volumes about J.R. Blackwell’s talent.
