Today is Free RPG Day. Last year we found over 3500 free RPGs on DriveThruRPG. This year the site is doing something different.
First up; there’s no an impressive 4,578 free RPGs and related material. Rather suggests the hobby is booming, right?
Secondly; the new Free RPG Day Sale is adding more $0.00 ebooks but then rewarding you with 40% off the core book if you take part.
For example, for this weekend the Basic Roleplaying Quickstart Edition from Chaosium is reduced from $11.95 to $0.00 and in association the full Basic Roleplaying rule set is down from $21.97 to $12.99.
Don’t forget that there’s more to Free RPG Day than just ebook deals. The day is about getting out to support your local retailers and the main site Free RPG Day has an interactive map to help you find one. The site suggests there are four stores here in Scotland, for example, taking part including Games Hub Edinburgh, Settlers in Hamilton, Geek-A-Boo in Glasgow and the Bus Stop Toy Shop in Largs.
