One Piece continues to be a hugely popular anime. Here in the UK the 11th collection – that’s Episodes 253-275 are now out on DVD. There’s an incredible amount of history to this series and the die hard fans are just as loyal as ever before.
To mark the release of One Piece Collection 11 I thought it would be appropriate to publish a short gallery of art from the bundle. We get to see how the style has both matured and adapted over the ages while still remainingly clearly One Piece. We’ve super slender characters, with long limbs and tall heads. Hard to imagine this style being used in any other anime without images of the Straw Hat pirates coming to mind.
In Collection 11 we’ve got Eiichiro Oda’s imagination running at full blast with Nami trying to rescue Robin, Chopper risking his life for Luffy and Sanji battling against the CP9 goons with the aid of a strange ally.
