The Brink sounds great. This is one of those YouTube short films that recommends the use of headphones for the best sound and I’d agree. In fact, JuVee Productions are using something called AstoundSound and give it a mention in the video’s title, and I wonder whether one of the goals of the film is to let us hear what’s possible with the system.
The movie itself is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where survivors are trapped on the wrong side of a dangerous chasm. One of the survivors, who doesn’t seem very stable, seems intent on trying, somehow, to get across. The other, who seems surprisingly calm, insists the attempt would be suicide.
Based in LA, JuVee has Viola Davis and Julius Tennon as Producers and Kaylon Hunt, who wrote The Brink, as a creative exec.
