The TradeCraft Bonus column last looked at in character notebooks back in 2013. It’s time to circle back and see what other great notepads and journals you can find for LARP, to document your RPG or even as NPC handouts.
Step forward aLexLibris and their bookart. There’s some bold designs in here!
Cthulhu leather journal
A fantastic design that’ll absolutely blow any gamer away. This is the book for all your dangerous spells, notes from deadly cults and a LARP prop to define a character. Tempted?
Coffin leather journal
This journal sends a straight forward message, doesn’t it? As the design isn’t as complex as some of the aLexLibris creations the coffin is a bit less expensive too.

Guitar leather journal
Playing a bard who’s documenting the adventures of a group? LARPing a character into music? This design will become a trademark look.

Grimoire in leather
I can’t think of a better prop for a wizard or occultist. It’s not just a Grimoire as below the pentagram the dread word “Necronomicon” can be seen. Of course, you could always deny it was there and pretend you can’t see if anyone tries to insist.
Let me have it.
