Here’s another board game from Europe that looks like its capturing attention. Dragon Keeper – The Dungeon uses a board design that creates a tower like 3D effect. You can see more on the campaign page.

[Back this Campaign]
At the time of writing Dragon Keeper has funded. It wanted €10,000 and is currently approaching €15,000 in the campaign treasure chest from 673 backers. There’s 21 days to go. Watch out for stretch goals.
There’s only one pledge tier if you want the game (that’s not sold out) and that’s €25. You’ll get a copy of Dragon Keeper – The Dungeon and all the stretch goals. Shipping costs are not included and, perhaps, they needed to be clearer about that in the tiers but we’re looking at adding €10 for the US and Canada and the same again for Europe. Australia doesn’t fair too badly either with just €15 estimated. If these are right then the French postal system gets the thumbs up from me.
The point based game suits 2 to 4 players in the roles of former adventurers who are now being paid by the dragon to protect his treasure. As other adventurers try and invade the dungeon the players have to respond. The objective? Different hidden objects for players each time to add to the replayability.
Not surprised that this Kickstarter is appealing to board gamers. I just wish I could see an actual mockup on the dungeon design rather than just computer rendered images. Here’s a prototype of the actual “box dungeon”.
