KULT lives up to its name and has become quite a cult classic. It seems to fall out of print quickly. The latest, KULT: Divinity Lost, looks to be getting a successful awakening thanks to a Kickstarter campaign. You can watch the Swedish krona tally up at the campaign page.

This is a game of creeping insanity, of scary truths that hunt along the edges of shadows and of the shiver that passes down your spine when an ancient evil considers you possible prey.
The new publishers, Helmgast, asked for KR95,000 to fund the project. At the time of writing they’ve 23 days left to collect pledges but already have KR1,267,000 from well over 1,300 backers.
The current exchange rate is about 1 Swedish Krona to 0.08 GBP or 0.12 US Dollar.
Backers get a PDF copy of the full colour rules by starting at KR215. It takes a jump of more than twice that to hit KR510 and unlock the print retail version. The latter comes with a player’s guide PDF. However, for the same money an “Enlightened Edition” is also on offer with uncensored art. This Kickstarter edition currently has x15 more backers then the official retail issue.
The first few stretch goals are a quick-play scenario (at 150,000 SEK), more artwork (200,000 SEK) and a “Bible Edition of KULT: Divinity Lost” (250,000 SEK).
It seems to be a good time for the RPG industry in Sweden. Last month Free League Publishing teamed up with Modiphius and launched a successful, SEK based, Kickstarter for Genlab Alpha.
