There are gay superhero franchies but they’re hardly common and few as successful as The Pride. Joe Glass has taken to Kickstarter to put together a hardcover collection. At the time of writing there’s nearly a month left on the Kickstarter and a target of £13,000 to hit. You can follow progress here.

The Pride follows FabMan has he starts a team of LGBTQ superheroes; thus Bear, Twink, Wolf, Muscle Mary, Frost, Angel and White Trash come together to take on the ignorance of the world and the villainous Reverend.
This is a hardback collection so you need to step up to £8 in order to get a copy of the original comic. Take note; you don’t actually get a print copy of the collection until you hit £20 (though a digital copy is available at £10). £10 is a pretty good price for a collection at Comixology and £20 is an impressive price for a hardback bundle.
There’s limited editions available at just a few quid higher but you’ll have to be quick to get those.
This is well thought out Kickstarter and you can account for every penny. For example; £100 is going to the limited edition bookplates while £150 is being spent on appropraite ISBNs and barcodes.
The series, in digital form, one comic at a time is available at Comixology where it’s had plenty of success.
