Geek Native isn’t a money making media empire. The most money ever spent promote the blog was a sponsorship deal with Contessa. The online convention isn’t just great fun. It was worth supporting. At the time of writing the campaign has funded. It has more than $3,000 in the pot. There’s 9 days on the clock. Backers who want a plushy dragon can have one. I hope we can do better. A plushie Eye Tyrant called Bea unlocks at $5,000. My favourite mimic monster Mimi unlocks at $7,000. That target isn’t impossible.
The lower level pledge tiers int this campaign get you seats in online adventures run by the Contessa team. As you might expect these places are numbered and selling out quickly. This is a great way to crowdfund and boost a convention, I think.
It’s only $28 (plus shipping) to get a plush of your choice. That choice, of course, will be determined by how many of the monsters unlock.
