At the time of writing Tin Hat Games’ core rulebook #UrbanHeroes is discounted to $9.99 from $25.00.
Urban Heroes is the result of a $16,000 Kickstarter campaign from the Italian company. The fundraising effort went to printing and the manual translation into English and the game clearly has fans as two people pledged over $500 each.
The result is a full colour book with over 280 pages, an original system (without modifiers on dice roles) and five types of superheroes – magical, psionic, divine, genetic and object-based.
What we don’t see at the DriveThruRPG shelf yet are any reviews. However, Tin Hat Games has published a set of gameplay videos taken at Omni Expo in Florida. There’s a set of 7 10-minute episodes and you can see the first below.
In the meantime, a quick check of their Facebook page tells me Tin Hat Games are not shying away from the political issues of the day.
If you’ve played the game why not use the comment box below to let us know what you make of it.
