Sandy Petersen may still be best known as the designer of Call of Cthulhu but this iconic demon-master has done plenty since. A focus has been Petersen Games and Kickstarter.
The latest project is Planet Apocalypse, a co-op board games in which post-apocalyptic heroes struggle against hordes from Hell. The Kickstarter needs US$100,000 to fund and at the time of writing, there are still 19 days on the clock. Over 1,250 backers have put nearly US$180,000 in the pot. You can follow the progress at the campaign page.
There are only three tiers. A US$99 pledge gets you a copy of the core game and stretch goals. $159 gets you the core game, stretch goals, Void Pack and Lord Jabootu and lastly US$1,500 gets you all that and a weekend with Sandy Petersen.
The draft rules are already online and free to download.
Taking a peek at the rules reveals a dangerous hierarchy of demons for the heroes (Hannah, Prof Maxwell, Tarang, Naomi and Cindrew) to face.
