Cavegirl Productions and X-Ray Films have spent three years interviewing artists and insiders with stories to tell from the last 40 years of Dungeons & Dragons. With a GenCon premier in mind the team turned to Kickstarter to raise finishing funds and succeeded. At the time of writing there’s 15 days still on the clock, 655 backers, and nearly $40,000 raised of only a $20,000 target. You can follow the campaign here.

There’s no shortage of famous names speaking in this documentary; Jeff Easley, Larry Elmore, Clyde Caldwell, Jennell Jaquays, Darlene, Tony DiTerlizzi, Brom, Erol Otus, Todd Lockwood, Jeff Dee, Diesel LaForce, Donato Giancola, Steve Prescott, Chris Seaman, and many more. To get your own digital copy you need to pledge at US$25 but most people have gone a little higher, to US$30, to get their name in the credits and an extended version with extra interviews.
The limited ‘Cyclops’ tier is the most popular so far – but that’s capped at 250 supporters only. US$65 gets you either a digital copy or DVD with the bonus content, your name in the credits, one of the six signed art prints and an ‘Old Gamers Never Die… But Their Characters Do” sticker.
The stretch goals are being made.
