Geek Native gets no shortage of indie game designers wanting attention for their Kickstarter or Steam projects. Maybe we even had the heads up about Skymap Games’ mad Bacon Man Kickstarter… but we missed it.
Denny’s didn’t.
we just backed "Bacon Man: An Adventure" on @Kickstarter because it looks tight cc: @skymapgames http://t.co/MYuz7otdYO

Wikipedia currently lists Denny’s as having over $506 million in revenue with about 1,700 resturants around the world, including 100 outside in the United States in places like the UK, Japan and New Zealand.
Here’s the quirky Kickstarter pitch that they caught.

Needless to say the game funded and (gasp!) made it to Steam. You can buy Bacon Man: An Adventure here.
Skymap Games’ managing director Neal Laurenza told me that he’s ended up going vegetarian after spending too much time staring at reference material for the game. In fact, ‘Vegan Valley’ is one of the locations in the bizarre game world along with ‘The Colocheeseium Arena’ and the ‘Banana Brick Road’.
It took the team five years to make the game. If you’re curious about it there’s more to check out on the Bacon Man Game website.
