What does that mean? Don’t expect a fancy computer graphics Godzilla. Expect a monster that might well be someone in a rubber suit or a puppet. Whatever you do; don’t expect anything that Holywood might have put together? This movie, complete with subtitles, is 100% Japanese. Even the token American character is as about as Japanese as you can imagine.
The plot is straightforward – there’s a monster threatening Japan. The authorities have a great idea after great idea and everyone involved works hard, but sadly it’s all hopeless as the horror becomes the foe we recognise today as Godzilla.
