I was confused. I thought I was watching an ad. I thought I was watching a BBC intent. But, no. I was watching the first teaser for season 11 Doctor Who.
The second time watching the teaser is better. We have all three of the new companions leading normal lives, and then they change. Things don’t entirely go back to normal, either.
The guy at the end who gets given a Beano comic is Bradley Walsh, both an actor and a TV host and the other two companions are both former Hollyoaks TV stars. Hollyoaks is, er, some sort of emotional melodrama not intended for geeks. They are Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill and despite being best known for the melodrama I’m both will cut it as companions. The BBC doesn’t let people step into the Tardis easily.
The Doctor seems to be pinching food – custard fish fingers, not in sight – but it’s hard to say. What is worth remembering that teasers for previous seasons have been shorter and showed even less.
