At the time of writing this post, there are just over 12 days left in the sale. That may seem a lot but there are over fifty thousand items with 25% off! Ouch. Let’s hope we can find the balance between impulse buying and painstaking researching.
Christmas in July hot sellers
Which RPGs are shifting the quickest? There are some usual suspects in the top ten in day one and some surprises. This list will change as the sale rolls on but right now, as this is written, here’s what the top ten hot RPGs look like.
- Shadowrun: Street Lethal (Advanced Combat Rules) from Catalyst Game Labs
- The Lexicon of the Throne by Sine Nomine Publishing
- Giant Maps: Old Pilgri Road by Heroic Maps
- Amazing Tales, complete kids’ RPG by Amazing Tales
- Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition by White Wolf
- Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 second edition by R. Talsorian Games
- Star Trek Adventures: Beta Quadrant Sourcebook by Modiphius
- Star Trek Adventures: Command Division supplement by Modiphius
- Fate Horror Toolkit by Evil Hat
- Esper Genesis 5e Sci-Fi by Alligator Alley Entertainment
I get why Cyberpunk is there. We’re all expecting the Cyberpunk 2020 computer RPG from CD Projekt Red soon and Mike Pondsmith’s The Witcher RPG will be out before that.
Equally, there’s a new Vampire: the Masquerade coming and White Wolf have been in the spotlight of late.
Is Star Trek Discovery the reason for the two Star Trek titles? Hard to say as the show is an evergreen.
The main surprise for me is Esper Genesis 5e which I know nothing about but this hyperspace RPG currently has a perfect 5/5 star collection of a half-dozen reviews on DriveThru.
