Say “Mondo” to mee and I think about t-shirts and collectibles, but in recent months they’ve been pushing into games. They’ve now officially created Mondo Games.
Their first game was The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 but now, as Mondo Games, they have two games lined up from Luke Byers. Byers is the Creative Director, Gaming at Mondo, so he’s clearly been hard at work.
The first game is Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene.
Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene is an asymmetrical board game, in other words, you’re not playing similar roles, using miniatures and is suited for 2 to 4 players.
The factions are InGen (the park authorities), Park Visitors, Raptors and the T. Rex. You need to find items your faction need, avoid or attack out dinosaurs, gain experience and customise your faction to win.
There’s a website up at Mondo Tees.com to express interest. I imagine the Mondo Games site is coming. The same site also reveals a little more about the game.
Jurassic Park: The Chaos Gene factions
Park Visitors
This faction has minis for Lex & Tim, Ian Malcolm, Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant.
Tyrannosaurus Rex
As you’d expect this faction has one awesome T-Rex!
InGen
This faction has Robert Muldoon, the park warden and several park security models.
The Raptors
This faction has an alpha raptor and two different hunter dinosaurs.
