We’ve already seen CMON take the board game Zombicide and morph it into a RPG. They’re also bringing the Trudvang Legends RPG and adapting it into a board game.
CMON are taking the Kickstarter route. The original RPG, based on Nordic and Celtic myths, was a Kickstarter success and so there’s every reason to believe there’s a community of interest considerable enough to get the game off the ground. CMON’s reach to loyal board game fans is impressive too.
The board game has been designed by Eric M. Lang, Guilherme Goulart, and Fel Barros. The players will quest through epic sagas, and as they succeed or fail, they will change the board. In a twist these changes only last if history remembers them a mechanic designed to make the game replayable.
The board game will feature art by Paul Bonner, Alvaro Tapia, Gio Guimarães, and Henning Ludvigsen. The monsters are highly detailed sculpts by Juan Navarro Perez, Arnaud Boudoiron, Edgar Ramos, and Aragorn Marks while Fabio de Castro and Júlia Ferrari provide the graphic design.
Theodore Bergquist, co-founder of RiotMinds, the Swedish publisher behind Trudvang Chronicles RPG said in a press release;

Trudvang Legends will launch on Kickstarter in Q2 of 2019.
