Matt Ryan voices John Constantine for this digital and blu-ray movie. Constantine: City of Demons originally aired in parts on CW Seed, but there’s over an hour of new, not seen before, content in the movie. The new scenes in the movie release includes the climax. I’ve not got access to CW Seed, but it’s hard to imagine what they were watching if they missed out two-thirds of the story and the ending.
In City of Demons, Constantine finds himself helping a bloke called Chas rescue his daughter. There are some strange allies on the way including the Queen of Angels, the Aztec god known as Mitctlantecuhtli and the Nightmare Nurse.
The group has to outmanoeuvre a demon called Beroul who has the young girl trapped in a coma. Throw in plenty of inner demons and arch-nemesis Nergal, and there’s plenty to upset Constantine.
Constantine: City of Demons is due out on October 9th in digital and various blu-ray packages.
