It’s not April 1st. I don’t think it’s April 1st. It might be the end of the world, though, as we summon Great Old Ones together.
WizKids has a new game in American stores today, and it safely described as Twister with a Cthulhu theme. Twister with tentacles?
You play in teams of two; one as a cultist and another body is the Great Old One. The Great Old Onee needs to twist and contort to place appendages on top of various Arkham landmarks.
These contortions aren’t easy for Great Old Ones to do and so the trick is to use appendages from other Great Old Ones to help complete your pattern.
Unlike Twister, there’s no mat. Instead, A’Writhe comes with 20 mats (tiles, I’d call them) which you lay out to make the playing field. There’s pattern cards rather than a spinner to design what shape you need to contort into, Great Old One roles and a rulebook.
Tempted to transform your gaming convention into an experience that no attendee will ever forget? It looks like A’Writhe is real as you can buy in on Amazon.com.
