Power Up Gamers have a new Kickstarter live, and it’s for the sequel to L’gat’s Tome of Amazing Creatures.
Their tagline is Roleplayers for Accessibility and in Power Up Gamers introduction to L’gat’s Tome v1 they thanks the gaming community for being a safe space for all people regardless of their gender, sexuality, physical handicap or political views. I think I’m with White Wolf’s Jason Carl when it comes to politics in gaming but I appreciate and respect what Power Up Gamers are doing.
I’ve permission to share a sneak peek inside L’gat’s Tome of Amazing Creatures v1 but first here’s the pitch for volume 2.
The headline difference between the two types of monsters in the two editions of L’gat’s Tome is the second will focus on more neutral and persuadable creatures. They could even be monster races.
I noticed a comment from Bryan W, one of PUGs team, on DrivethruRPG which notes they will be using a slightly different formula for monster stats too. The first edition sticks more closely to the suggestions in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
A pledge of US$10 is what it takes to get a copy of volume 2 in PDF form. If you go this far then your name will be in the credits of the book too. If you step up to US$20 then you’ll get both volumes of L’gat’s Tome of Amazing Creatures.
Inside L’gat’s Tome of Amazing Creatures #1
This preview picks two monsters at random and shows the top of the page for both. Yeah, I know, this means you don’t get access to the full monster but hopefully it assists you in deciding whether the production quality meets your requirements.
Hlolti

Lokern
Three-foot-tall, looks a bit like a bony kobold but also with the dangerous ability to phase.
