Hasbro has signed a deal with Epic Games to produce a whole range of Fortnite branded goodies. There will be some Fortnite NERG Blasters next year and that’s a great match-up for the franchise.
There’s also going to be Monopoly: Fortnite Edition launching in October.
I think this is a great idea. Okay, the affinity between the battle royale game and the board game isn’t as good as it is with NERF but imagine being able to say “Yes!” to the kids the next time they ask to play Fortnite.
“I’ll play with you,” you can say as you pull the Fortnight board game from the shelves and begin to unpack the pieces.
In case you’re wondering you have to avoid Storm in Monopoly too. Each time you pass GO! and fail to avoid the Storm then you take HP damage. This sounds like a very different Monopoly variant!
The box contains 27 cardboard outfits, skins with pawn stands, 15 Storm cards, 16 location cards, 16 loot chests, 8 wall cards, a numbered dice, an action dice with labels, 110 health point chips and a game guide. There’s no mention of hotels, houses or even money in the official teaser.
