David Harbour (Stranger Things) is the new Hellboy. The official trailer for the movie is now out with Lionsgate describing the film;
Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
There are some familiar faces in the cast including Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, The Fifth Element), Ian McShane (Deadwood, Lovejoy, American Gods), Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O), and Sasha Lane (American Honey).
The movie will be directed by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, Game of Thrones and The Descent) who is British which may or may not explain why the trailer flickers between hell and London. At least, I think it does.

Harbour looks to be playing a longer haired version of Hellboy than Ron Perlman but certainly seems to have the build for the very physical role. It’s also worth noting Ed Skrein because he’s not in the movie. Originally Skrein had been cast as Ben Daimio, an ex-Marine, but when he discovered the B.P.R.D. agent is Japanese-American he withdrew from the film and asked that an Asian actor was considered instead.
