Cosplayer Kyle of Asgard has a technique that will light your eyes up like an angry god of Thunder.
He says it’s a simple technique but you’ll need to be confident with electronics. To get going he 3D prints off a helmet from Thingiverse. Okay, that might be straight-forward if you’re equipped with a 3D printer but for the rest of us this puts the technique safely in the ‘advanced cosplay’ category.
It’s a wifi-enabled cosplay, after all.
That said the approach does seem straight forward. To achieve this effect you need to wear contact lenses that react to black light. Then you need to tape some small black lights into the inside of your thunder god battle planet helmet. Here’s how Kyle does it;
Safety: As Kyle highlights; UV light is dangerous to your eyes so you shouldn’t use this cosplay technique over a long period of time. This is for dramatic effect and not for winning every glance at a convention.
