Witch+Craft feels much more about the magic of crafting things than it is about (another) magic system. That might well be a thing D&D 5e needs. Astrolago Press’ Witch+Craft is designed to make it a little bit more dramatic and involved if PCs need to build something important; like repair a shipwreck or whisk up an impromptu grappling hook.
The supplement introduces trade classes, which go hand-in-hand to your character’s adventuring classes, and can be used to show what people get up to between adventures.
The concept of ‘domestic magic’ applies even if the crafter isn’t using magic.
Lastly, and not insignificantly, there seems to be a whole army of artists and illustrators lined up to support the project.
