The importance of Twitch and online tabletop games is crystal clear over at Wizards of the Coast. The next Dungeons & Dragons storyline is coming and we’ll learn more about it in a heavily streamed live extravaganza next month.
Last year, WotC did well with the Stream of Many Eyes and so a repeat event this year isn’t a surprise.
What should we expect? There will be a chance to play through an adventure that’ll drop us into the new storyline and there will be sneak peeks at upcoming products. Wizards will have to manage spoilers carefully.
There will be a host of D&D names along with Twitch and YouTube stars. We’re also being told there will be music, cosplay and unique giveaways.
Tempted? It’s $300 to get the three-day pass for The Descent studio event. That means getting yourself to Los Angeles, for May. It also means finding out about the next D&D Storyline, getting that 3-hour D&D Adventurers League preview, D&D merch and getting to sit in the audience every night to watch D&D played live for online.
