I was pleasantly surprised by the sci-fi grimdark Wrath & Glory last year. Published by Ulisses North America, it came second on the list of best selling RPGs at DriveThruRPG that year.
Now, Ulisses are not publishing Wrath & Glory any more. At least, not n English. The German-based publisher still has the rights in Germany.
Games Workshop have given Cubicle 7 the license for Wrath & Glory now.
Ulisses’ Wrath & Glory design team are said to be working with Cubicle 7 to make sure all the currently planned titles for the game are delivered. Cubicle 7 are also planning a revised reprint of the core Wrath & Glory rulebook along with an extensive range of supplements.
Cubicle 7 CEO Dominic McDowall said,
Warhammer 40K is a huge chunk of our gamer DNA so we are all incredibly excited to build on the long legacy of 40K RPGs. I’ve been a 40K fanatic since the first edition, so I am absolutely delighted to bring our brand of roleplaying to this amazing setting.
It’s been a busy time for Cubicle 7 with the publisher leaving the UK for Ireland, working on the Doctor Who RPG, The One Ring Ring and only recently announcing Soulbound as their Age of Sigmar Warhammer Fantasy RPG.
It certainly seems as if Games Workshop is consolidating its Warhammer RPG efforts on Cubicle 7.
