D&D Live 2019 has announced the latest official storyline for the game, and it is hell.
Last year adventures started in Waterdeep, and we had books like Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Now we deal with the celestial-turned-archdevil Zariel who is taking her revenge on the city of Elturel.
Baldur’s Gate – Descent into Avernus is an adventure that starts with level 1 characters and will take them up to level 13. The adventure begins in the dark and gritty city of Baldur’s Gate which the game designer Adam Lee describes as the Gotham of the Sword Coast (or London). The game then, very swiftly, dumps low-level characters in the realms of Hell.
You can pre-order Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus at D&D Beyond’s Marketplace. Amazon does not yet have a listing in place.
There’s a bonus to pre-order as well, doing so will unlock special character frames, character backdrops and theme colours for your digital character sheet.
