MÖRK BORG is a rules-light, art heavy, RPG from Sweden that has been translated into English. At the time of writing, it is 709% funded, with 18 days still to go, and approaching 800 backers. You can follow it’s dark progress on Kickstarter.
A pledge of SEK1 (about £1) gets you a high five if you ever meet one of the designers in person.
If you want the game, then step up to £8. That’ll get you a PDF of the game in English and a PDF of the game in Swedish. £21 gets you those two PDFs and a printed copy of the game.
Johan Nohr and Pelle Nilsson describe the MÖRK BORG as OSR but also that they care little about tradition or nostalgia. The look of the game is more important than being true to some Gygaxian heritage. That aesthetic is, of course, doom metal!
What’s the system then? Roll 1d20, apply a modifier and try and beat a set number.
