The Dr. STONE manga is a big hit, selling nearly 2 million copies in Japan alone since July 2017. There’s an anime series coming, animated by TMS Studios (D. Gray-man, many of the Lupins, Ulysses 31and Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation to name just a few).
Outside of Japan, Crunchyroll will simulcast the show. That means it’s the place to watch the episodes as and when they come out.
Dr. STONE is set thousands of years after a cataclysmic event turns everyone in the world to stone. The story re-starts after two characters Senku Ishigami and Taiju Ōki manage to break out from their stone casings. Would you rebuild the world in their shoes or start again? Is the best path one of physical security or of science?
The series starts this summer.
The Japanese voice cast of Dr. STONE includes;
- Yūsuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki in “Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World”) as Senku Ishigami
- Makoto Furukawa (Saitama in “One Punch Man”) as Taiju Ōki
- Kana Ichinose (Ichigo in “DARLING in the FRANXX”) as Yuzuriha Ogawa
- Yuuichi Nakamura (Bruno Bucciarati in” JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind”) as Tsukasa Shishiou.
