Samsung have a new viral video out that’s proving to be popular. It’s popular because it’s good.
The video shows a conference room, boring a heck, except there’s a small navibot moving around on the floor. Sometimes something impressive happens. Then the bot flies off. We’re directed to www.samsung.com/navibot to find out more.
We’re supposed to find out where the Navibot has gone too. That’s okay. The video has caught my attention. I want to learn more. Except; the video was launched by TheNavibot, on the 7th, with “United Kingdom” listed as the country of residence. There is no www.samsung.com/navibot. In the UK you get redirected to a 404 error. In the US you get redirected to HTML code out put. It works in France, though.
As it happens; THe Navibot is a real Samsung product. You can buy it in the UK and read about it here. It’s a robot cleaner. I’d buy one except I don’t think it can make it room to room in this small flat; there’s a strip of wood through each doorway (about 1cm high) that would defeat it.
It’s odd that Samsung would release the video before the URL/microsite was ready.
